Gluten free GI diet is the way to go
Recently, after battling stomach issues for quite a while, my wife found out that she had a gluten-sensitivity and had been living with it, unaware, for quite a while. This called for a fairly immediate change in her diet. I wasn't about to make her go at it alone, so I told her I would join her in modifying our eating habits.
Completely new to this, we did PLENTY of research on the best way to approach it and how we could eat healthy while not completely limiting the scope of what we could eat. What we found was that we could combine the typical 'gluten-free' diet while also focusing on the glycemic index and choosing foods that had a low GI. And fortunately for us, the majority of foods that were lower on the GI scale were gluten-free anyway; fruit, vegetables, legumes, etc.
Imagine our surprise when my wife lost FIVE pounds in TWO days. We were both shocked, and since then, have continued to maintain this diet and we both have seen great results. In combination with the exercise program I had already been doing, I am starting to show a six-pack for the first time in my life. And my wife is thrilled to be back in her old skinny jeans from before her pregnancy.
We have been more than pleased with the results, and are especially enjoying our change in lifestyle because its NOT one of these fad diets you see on TV or in books. It's simply modifying your lifestyle to help maintain health and overall wellness, and its worked wonders.
