When you are looking for the best headache natural remedy, it is important to know the cause of your headache first. Headache is simply the pain on your head or upper neck. Most of the headaches are the result of temporary upsets and not necessarily the result of major changes in the brain, but may point to something that is not so right in your body.

• The best way to prevent headaches is to build up physical resistance through proper nutrition, physical exercise and positive thinking. You must plan your diet in such a way as to put the least possible strain on your digestive system.



• Reduce your intake of alcohol, sugar, processed foods, high fat red meat and dairy products and caffeine.
 Drink plenty of water and eat more of high fiber foods such as vegetables and whole grains.



• Drink a glass of water mixed with a little bit of honey first thing in the morning.



• There are many ways to utilize herbal remedies for your headaches or migraines. Try herbal teas: chamomile, lavander ginger, limeflower and peppermint.

• Squeeze your left index finger and thumb, right between your right thumb and index finger about 2.5 cms or 1 inch from your skin edge, hold for 1-3 minutes and slowly release. This should help your headache go away.



• Use your fingertips to push on the very top of your skull. Press the area for half a minute and three times consecutively, breathing deeply.



• Hot oil head massage is also beneficial.



• Lie down with ice on your shoulder, temples and neck. This should give you some relief from your headache.



• Your brain is in need of oxygen. Go outside and take deep breaths in the fresh air. Inhale deeply and exhale slowly several times.
