Popover with Hot Turkey Salad

Popover with Hot Turkey Salad

Need a quick and easy dinner idea with your leftover turkey? This hot turkey salad recipe has been a very special onein my family for years. I'm so glad I found it recently. It is quick and easy, not to mention delicious!

10-12 Servings Prep: 20 min. Bake: 35 min.

Popover with Hot Turkey Salad Recipe

Ingredients:

1 cup all-purpose flour

1/2 teaspoon salt

2 eggs

1 cup milk

4 cups diced cooked turkey

2 cups diced celery

2 cups (8 ounces) shredded low-fat cheddar cheese

1 can (2-1/4 ounces) sliced ripe olives, drained

1 cup Miracle Whip

1/4 cup milk

1/8 teaspoon pepper

Pinch onion powder

1-1/2 cups crushed potato chips

Tomato wedges, optional

Directions:

In a large bowl, combine flour and salt. Combine eggs and milk; whisk into the dry ingredients just until blended. Pour into a greased 10-in. glass pie plate. Bake at 400° for 35-40 minutes or until deep golden brown.

Immediately prick with a fork in the center to allow steam to escape. In a large saucepan, combine the next eight ingredients, cook and stir over low heat until heated through.

Stir in potato chips. Spoon into popover. Garnish with tomato wedges if desired. Serve immediately. Yield: 10-12 servings.

*Here I'd like to tell you about my favorite diet program that uses a lot of the healthy lower GI foods: Isabel de los Rios' 'The Diet Solution Program'.

The Diet Solution Program favours a long term health orientated approach to fat loss, but not offering anyone a quick fix to their weight troubles. It has loads of valuable data and research to support its approach. I personally investigated the program thoroughly and my mum has been using it for a while now. I have to say she got some great results.

The nutrition plan is one of the healthiest we have seen, a strong core focus on vegetables, fruits, vitamin dense foods, lean proteins, select dairy produce and a clear approach to not expecting one diet to work for all body types. So give it a try and let me know how you’re doing.*
