Losing Weight After Breastfeeding

Self control is essential for weight loss
I was never fat prior to my pregnancy. My son was born in 2007. For a year I ate all sorts of foods because I wanted to breastfeed my son for a longer time. In 2008 when my son switched over to normal food and other milk products, I suddenly realized that I was fat!
I was so embarrassed to buy over sized jeans and t-shirts. I hated the way I looked. I decided to do something about it. So I started running and doing some simple yoga exercises.
My body was not ready for vigorous work-outs and I always believed that slow and steady won the race. I would wake up every morning and run for at least twenty minutes and yoga for twenty minutes.
When I was breastfeeding it gave me an excuse to eat at any time of the day and night. Eating at night was a major cause for my weight problem. I changed my eating habits after had stopped breast feeding.
I stopped the extra glasses of milk. Gave up on ice creams, milk, egg yolk and chocolates. I also reduced oily and junk food to a great extent. I started eating cereals for breakfast, Salads and lentils for lunch and wheat bread for dinner.
Never never ate anything, not even fruits after 8 pm in the evening. In 2 months I had lost 15 pounds and in 6 I lost about 50 pounds and was feeling my normal self again!
I realized that it is just within us to achieve what we want. Self control is very important to lose weight.
