Only What I Need Diet

by Jade
(Florida)

Not more, not less

Not more, not less

The way I lost 50 pounds in 90 day was I ate 5 small smart meals a day and jogging 1 mile a day. Things I ate that I call smart meals is:

For breakfast I would eat some kind of fruit or yogurt and then a bottle of water, then about 2 hours before lunch another fruit or yogurt, then for lunch I would eat a whole wheat tuna sandwich or chicken with a small bag or unsalted organic nuts with a bottle of water.

Then about 2 hours before dinner I would eat a small salad with not dressing or crew ton's, then for dinner usually fish with vegetables or chicken breast with vegetables and a bottle of water.

And some time during the day I would jog at least 1 mile on a treadmill. I went from 230 to 180 and I feel so much better. There is no need for greed, I eat what I need, not more and not less.

A basic low GI diet that worked for me..

by Anonymous

The diet that I have found works best for me is just a basic diet that focuses on fruits, vegetables, whole grains and lean protein.. and it happens to be low in glycemic index too.

If you think about it, this is not a very restrictive diet and that makes it very easy to follow, you feel less fatigue and mentally more alert throughout the day. You can eat any fruit you want, vegetable you want, and plenty of tasty whole grain pasta, oatmeal, cereals, and even breads!

Lean meats, like chicken and lean beef, keep you from feeling hungry, so you aren’t tempted to cheat.

One thing that I did do was to stay away from all desserts- sugar is rather addictive and turns into fat quickly as well as destabilising your blood glucose levels, white bread products, fatty foods, fried foods, and full-fat cheeses. I was able to lose 40 pounds in a year by simply changing what I ate.

I realized that dieting does not have to be hard if you focus on making each food choice the healthiest possible rather than measuring pounds and calories. Just think about it, one choice at a time!

I managed to lose weight and became healthier, you can too!
