Salad Diet

My plan was simple , I would only eat salad

One of the most effective diets I have ever tried was something that was not found in any book or website or late night infomercial. I was a single father with not much free time or money to spare who was overweight by at least 25 pounds.

My plan was simple , I would only eat salad . Eating only salads took a great deal of will power and dedication.

What helped the most was my plan to never eat the same type of salad twice in one day. By simply adding bits of ham or tuna I made the daily salad much more tolerable. The addition of apples, pineapple and nuts allowed even more of a change.

In the time span of a mere six weeks I was able to drop over 25 pounds. From time to time I still employ the salad routine to drop a few pounds here and there. For me it is simple but effective.

A Healthy and Good GI Diet

by S. Chaubal

When I planned to lose weight, the best thing I could trust upon was a healthy, good GI diet. This has proved to be the most effective diet in terms of losing weight and keeping my digestion system in a good working condition.

What I tried including in my daily diet was more of foods which were rich in fiber and low in fat. Foods like oats, onions, tomatoes etc have a very low glycemic index and hence were on my daily list.

Apart from that, avoiding cravings for junk also helped. What I would substitute those cravings with were fruits, like apples, strawberries, avocados etc. It helped me to lose a lot of weight and developed some healthy eating habits.

Throughout this period of weight loss, few things that were a total no-no for me, were fries, burgers, cold drinks and all other cholesterol laden junks.
