Aspartame Danger
Sugar is addictive and full of empty calories but after studying the ‘aspartame danger’ in detail, I’d rather have the sugar than aspartame and artificial sweeteners any day. Simply stated, aspartame is the most harmful food additive found in the market today.
Well, the multi-billion dollar aspartame industry would love you to believe that aspartame danger does not exist, it does no harm to your health and that you would have to consume extreme amounts of the substance to experience anything negative.
Aspartame is found in thousands of different products today including jams, candies, vitamins, medications, diabetic foods, soft drinks, fruit juice drinks, sweeteners and even in breakfast cereals. It is used by about 70% of the population in United States and is commonly known under the names of Canderel, Equal, NutraSweet, Sugar Twin, Benevia, E951 and Spoonful.

It is made up of phenylalanine– fifty per cent, aspartic acid– forty per cent, wood alcohol or methanol– ten per cent. Aspartic acid and phenylalanine are amino acids but are found as singular amino acids and not part of protein chains in aspartame.
Protein chains take half a day for your body to slowly break down and digest, while these two amino acids found in aspartame quickly enter your central nervous system and brain at extreme levels causing many serious health problems and even death eventually.
• Isolated aspartic acid have been found to bring more harm to your health than good, by causing headaches, mental confusion, leading to diseases such as arthritis, artery disease and cancers.
• Isolated phenylalanine in high doses is proven to decrease the serotonin levels in your brain, causing emotional disorders and depression.
• Wood alcohol- methanol is simply a poison that can lead to blindness and death, by early symptoms of headaches, nausea, dizziness and numbness. Methanol is also found in natural foods, but never without its antidotes pectin and ethanol that prevent methanol from being converted into deadly toxins.
One of the first thing you do when you make the decision to lose weight is starting to use artificial sweeteners, mainly aspartame instead of sugar. But does aspartame really help you with weight loss when all it does is to trick your mind into having something sweet?
Does it end your sugar or sweet cravings? No! And the fact is it contributes to your weight gain and comes with so many other hidden dangers that you may not be aware of.
