Most people are now in a critical situation to decrease their body weights immediately by following a program or a scheme for their weight loss. But as a matter of fact, many schemes and programs do not tend to provide any kind of fruitful results but instead come with harmful effects.
In accordance with your body weight, height, age, any symptomatic diseases according to your age and living habits such as hypertension, diabetes, pulmonary heart symptoms, you have to decide to follow which measures for your weight loss.
In the name of diet, it is not advisable and also impossible to completely avoid eating what you eat normally, suddenly. So it is better to curtail your food habits first and change your entire life style slowly and gradually.
Then only you can maintain your body healthy and control against all your diseases. Please have always in mind that some diseases are completely curable and some diseases are only manageable. If you are trying to keep such diseases at a normal level, then you are so blessed:
1. You should not live to eat. You have to eat to lead your life.
2. Eat all seasonal vegetables and fruits as much as possible.
3. Avoid too much oil and add greens and herbs to your cooking once a day every day.
4. Eat less but more frequently.
5. Eat when you are feeling a little hungry but never to be bloated.
6. 50% of food, 25% of water and 25% empty stomach is always a better principle.
7. Avoid unhealthy snacks and fast foods.
8. Drinking plenty of water a day is always advisable and it will keep your body so healthy. Drinking juice is ok too but it is better to have fruits on their own, for less sugar intake.
9. Avoid white colored foods like sugar, salt, curd, cheese, butter, ghee, rice, carbohydrates, flours, milk etc.
10. Try vegetables with different colours, curry leaves and greens as salad.
11. Have fiber rich foods daily for avoiding constipation.
12. Exercise regularly- at least three times a week, keep an active lifestyle.
13. Try and have meats as a side dish rather than a main dish.
14. Everything should be in moderation, no eating in excess!
15. Avoid sweets as much as you can and any kind of highly cholesterol edibles. But you can taste them once in a while.
16. Imagine yourself in your ideal weight as much as you can. Please be aware that eating a decent amount in sufficient quantities is not a form of treatment. This is a way of living.
17. Well balanced diet means nothing but having all available seasonal vegetables and fruits on time and in normal quantities.
18. But depending on your circumstances- if you have a certain illness and before dedicating yourself to a certain way of being, for instance it is advisable to consult a physician before you start to follow your diet.
19. Please do not expect to have a sudden change or weight loss. There is no quick fix, quick fix comes with problems. Keeping your body healthy is an art, and try and have fun along the way.
